“Thanks for the great venue, great food and for being so hospitable. It was so much better than a typical conference venue!”
- Kevin Lindegaard, Crops for Energy.
“Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into our event. We have had some lovely feedback from our guests and speakers. Your venue suited the event perfectly and the food was amazing”
Joanna Cheung, Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Service
"Thank you to everyone at Fernhill Farm for providing the perfect spot for our retreat! It was a pleasure to spend time together in such a beautiful place - cosy sessions in the barn while the rain lashed down outside, relaxed and helpful staff ready to accommodate our every need, and more delicious brownies than I have ever eaten!'
Anya Hyndside Facilitator.
About half an hour by taxi from Bristol, this is a really unusual event venue. We had our away days here and had amazing catering from Keren and a warm welcome by Jen and Andy who run the place. Jules, the event manager, really helped make sure we had what we needed, including a blazing fire in the yard and extra towels for campers. All the rooms and beds were comfy and characterful, and some even came with cuddly cats. The Horseshoe Barn had loads of space for us to spread out and work or huddle for more intimate chats. We had a great time!

As a conference or business away day choice, you can help reduce your businesses carbon footprint by choosing Fernhill.
Here is some information on the buildings eco credentials:
Underfloor heating throughout from homegrown logs and willow used to fuel our 170kw log boiler.
The central heating system is topped up by hot water from the sun by our solar thermal heating system.
Solar Panels on the roof of the Hay Shed venue (not permitted on Grade II listed properties) providing solar electricity from onsite battery storage.
Rain water is harvested from roofs to flush toilets and all waste water is pumped to the on-site chemical-free water purification system known as the Water Ecological Treatment (WET) system.
The WET system grows willow wands for weaving, kindling and firewood and is a British Crayfish Conservation Site, supplying chlorine-free grey water to the poly tunnel and livestock drinking troughs.
Homegrown wool insulation and timbers, harvested from the farm create useful and decorative wood panelling finishes throughout the farm and barns, arcs and houses.
